Note Daily Privacy Policy

Note Daily ("the App") is a personal notebook and productivity application designed to help users create, organize, search, pin, back up, restore, import, and export notes and checklists.

This Privacy Policy explains how Note Daily handles information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Note Daily is designed to minimize the collection of personal information.

Notes and Checklists

The notes, checklists, pinned items, and other content you create in the App are stored on your device unless you explicitly choose to export, share, or back up that content.

We do not intentionally collect or sell the contents of your notes or checklists.

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, phone number, or email address to use its core note-taking features.

If you voluntarily contact us, any information you provide in that communication may be used solely to respond to your request.

2. Device Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Note Daily may request certain Android permissions.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App may request notification permission to deliver scheduled reminders.

Notification permission can be controlled through your device settings.

Storage and File Access

When you use backup, restore, import, or export features, the App may use the Android file system or file picker to allow you to select or save files.

Files are accessed only as necessary to perform the action you request.

3. Backup and Restore

Note Daily may allow you to create a backup of your notes in a file, such as a JSON backup.

Backup files are controlled by you. If you save or share a backup file using another application or service, that third party's privacy policy will apply.

We do not control how third-party services handle files that you choose to share with them.

4. Import and Export

The App may provide options to import or export notes, including text files.

When you choose to import or export a file, the operation is initiated by you. The App accesses the selected file only for the purpose of completing the requested operation.

5. Sharing

If you use the App's sharing functionality, Android or another installed application may be used to share information.

Once information is transferred to another application or service, that service's privacy policy and terms apply.

Note Daily does not control the privacy practices of third-party applications.

6. App Sharing and Rating

The App may provide "Share App" and "Rate App" functionality.

These features may open Android's sharing interface or the Google Play Store. Any information handled after leaving Note Daily is subject to the privacy policies of the relevant third-party service.

7. Third-Party Services

Note Daily may rely on Android system services and Google Play services for certain functionality, such as notifications, application distribution, sharing, and opening the Google Play Store.

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Note Daily does not sell, rent, or trade users' personal information.

8. Advertising

Note Daily does not intentionally collect personal information for advertising purposes.

If advertising or an advertising SDK is added to a future version of the App, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that functionality is introduced, as applicable.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the App and its data-handling processes.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting their device and any backup files they create or share.

10. Children's Privacy

Note Daily is a general-purpose productivity application and is not specifically directed toward children.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Because notes and related content are primarily stored on your device, you can generally remove that content by deleting it within the App or uninstalling the App, subject to Android's storage and backup behavior.

Any exported or backed-up files created by you remain under your control and must be deleted separately from your device or storage service.

Information voluntarily provided when contacting the developer may be retained only as reasonably necessary to respond to or resolve the communication.

12. Your Choices

You can:

  • Create, edit, and delete your notes.
  • Enable or disable notifications through the App or Android settings.
  • Choose whether to create backups.
  • Choose whether to import or export files.
  • Choose whether to share content.
  • Uninstall the App at any time.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Note Daily, applicable requirements, or our data-handling practices.

When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated.

You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
